Terms & safety policy

The rules that make verified hiring possible for both sides.

1. Verification

Every account holder submits a government-issued ID, a clear photo and a live selfie. We compare the three before a profile is marked verified. Submitting another person's documents is fraud and results in permanent loss of access.

2. Immutable identity

Legal name, ID type and ID number cannot be edited once verified. Contact details, categories, availability and pay expectations remain editable.

3. Permanent profiles

Accounts cannot be closed or deleted. A profile can be unlisted so it no longer appears in search, but ratings, references, agreements and reports remain on record.

4. Misconduct reports

Reports must include a description and, where available, evidence. Each report is labelled either 'Employer complaint' or 'Police confirmed'. Only police-confirmed reports and undisputed complaints are shown publicly.

5. Right of reply and disputes

A reported worker is notified and may publish a written response or formally dispute the report. Disputed reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

6. False reports

Reports shown to be false are marked dismissed and removed from the worker's public record. Employers who repeatedly file false reports lose the ability to post jobs or file reports.

7. Wages and agreements

Staff Connect does not process wages. Pay, duties, hours and start date are recorded in the written agreement both parties sign on the platform.

8. Conduct in messaging

All first contact happens in platform messaging so that it is traceable. Harassment, discrimination and requests for payment outside an agreement are prohibited.
